We played here until dark.
Only went home
when Mum called.
▤ Some places remember us
I wonder…
do you still live here?
The streets we grew up on. The walk home from school.
And today, a summit reached for the first time.
Leave a little of how it felt.
A note for someone. A memory for yourself.
Somewhere, our summer is still here.
Even when the wall is painted over, let the feeling stay.
Take a little look aroundThe places we miss
Everyone has a place
they never really left.
Just another street to someone else.
A whole chapter of our lives to us.
We scribbled here ten years ago.
Do you ever think about it too?
We never talked about much.
Somehow, hours went by.
Our first kiss, in this little lane.
The walk home felt shorter that day.
Was the playground always this small?
It used to be my whole world.
3 Oct 2026
I dropped by.
Hope you're doing okay.
A little line, wherever I go
Look how far I've come.
That mountain last month. This summit today.
It can be a note to your future self, too.
18 May. Made it to the top.
Lost count of the breaks.
Still, these feet got me here.
1 June. Another summit.
Last time, I only felt the climb.
Today I noticed the view.
14 September. Came here alone.
Just watched the waves for a while.
I'll remember this version of me.

Stories you have to walk to
Instead of scrolling,
walk that street again.
Notes stay with their places.
Find a trace on the map. Get close,
and someone's story opens up.
Other people's notes open within 500 m of their spot.
A little wall in your pocket
Pause a moment.
A line is enough.
It doesn't have to be a big story.
Start with “I was here.”
Some words belong here.
Discover notes on the map. Come within 500 metres to read what someone left at that place.

For someone else, or your future self.
Keep this a place worth coming back to
Room for your memories.
Care for each other.

A few things you might wonder
What is Dear Place?
Dear Place is a location-based app for leaving anonymous notes and memories at places you visit. Read other people’s notes within 500 m of the place, and revisit your own notes anywhere after signing in. You can leave up to ten notes a day.
Can I read other people's notes from far away?
You need to be within 500 m of a note to read it. The map only shows that a note exists. After signing in, you can read your own notes from anywhere.
Why sign in if it's anonymous?
Signing in lets you manage your notes and helps prevent spam and abuse. Your account details aren't shown to others. Your words and optional signature are visible, so don't include your own or anyone else's personal information.
Can I keep a record of places I've been?
Of course. Leave a line on a summit, on a trip, or along your everyday walk. My notes collects the places on a map and in a list, and you can reread your own notes anywhere. Personal reflections are still public, anonymously, to people within 500 m. They aren't private diary entries.
What should I write?
“We played here every day.” “Finally made it to the top.” “My first solo trip to the sea.” A small memory is enough. Write about your feelings, without names or details that could identify someone.
Do I write on a real wall?
No. You leave a digital note at that location inside the app. Keep real walls and public spaces as they are, and add only a memory.
Can I download the app now?
You can install the iPhone app from the App Store and the Android app from Google Play.
If you ever come back to this neighborhood.
The words I never said,
I'll leave on this wall.
This weekend, take a walk somewhere you've missed.
Leave a little line: I came back.
Install the app and leave your first note somewhere that matters to you.
See you in our old neighborhood.
