Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Dear Place service (the "Service") provided by Daldagury Co., Ltd. (the "Company"), and the rights and obligations of the Company and Members.

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and signed up with a social account.

2. "Note" means a post that a Member leaves at a specific place.

3. "Reply" means a post left under a Note.

4. "Social account" means a Google, Kakao, Naver, or Apple account.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

1. The Company keeps these Terms available for viewing in the app at any time.

2. When amending these Terms, the Company gives notice in the app starting 7 days before the effective date. For amendments unfavorable to Members, notice is given starting 30 days before the effective date.

3. Members who do not agree to the amended Terms may delete their account.

Article 4 (Membership Registration)

1. A person aged 18 or older may sign up by signing in with a social account or by verifying their email address and then setting a password, and by agreeing to the required terms.

2. The Company stores the email address as the user ID. For social login, it stores the social account identifier; for email login, it stores a password hash from which the original password cannot be recovered. Social logins using the same email address are linked only to accounts whose email ownership has been verified. Names and phone numbers are not stored.

3. Signing up with email and resetting a password require a one-time verification code received by email. After signing up with email, a Member can sign in with just their email address and password. When a password is reset, all existing login sessions are signed out.

4. An email address or social account whose account has been deleted cannot be used to sign up again for 30 days. Both are checked, so changing only the email address or only the social account does not allow signing up again. If the account was deleted during a usage restriction, the same email address or social account cannot be used to sign up again until the restriction ends; if a permanent usage restriction was imposed, it cannot be used to sign up again at all.

Article 5 (Service Content)

1. Members can see on the map whether there are Notes near where they currently are.

2. Other people's Notes and Replies can be read only by going near their spot (the app shows the readable distance). Members can read Notes they wrote themselves regardless of distance once they are confirmed as the signed-in author.

3. A Note can be left after it is confirmed that the Member stays at the spot while writing it. The number of Notes that can be left per day, the number that can be left at the same spot, and the character limit are set by operating policy and shown in the app.

4. Notes and Replies can be read by anyone who comes to their spot.

Article 6 (Anonymity and Responsibility)

1. Other Members cannot see who wrote a post.

2. The Company identifies the author of a post in order to review posts, handle reports, and prevent fraudulent use, or when requested in accordance with law.

3. Even though they are anonymous, Members are responsible for the posts they write.

Article 7 (Posts)

1. Rights to Notes and Replies belong to the Members who wrote them. Members permit the Company to store and display those posts within the Service.

2. The Company reviews posts with AI before they are published, and may decline to publish or may remove posts that fall under any of the following:

- Expressions of hatred, mockery, verbal abuse, profanity, disparagement (based on appearance, disability, age, gender, origin, region, occupation, etc.), or discrimination, obscene content or sexual exploitation

- Personal information of a specific person (contact details, email address, personal address, real name including the family name, etc.). This includes contact details written with substituted or split-up numbers or letters. Posts that mention only a given name or a nickname are allowed

- Posts that expose another person's private life or secrets, or spread unverified rumors (including where they are claimed to be true)

- Posts that expose or glorify adultery or infidelity

- Posts that spread fear and anxiety, such as claims or ghost stories that a murder, accident, or crime took place at a specific place

- Posts that depict or encourage suicide or self-harm

- Sexual content, advertising, or promotion

- Posts that incite crime or threaten a specific person

- Posts that violate laws or infringe the rights of others

- Posts consisting of meaningless random strings of characters or words, or of excessive repetition (posts are not restricted merely because they are short greetings, names, or in a foreign language)

Posts about a person who can be identified from the place and other clues, even without a name, are treated the same as posts that use that person's real name.

3. A post that has received 2 pending reports from different Members is hidden immediately until an operator reviews it.

4. When a post is rejected in review, the Member is informed of the reason and may edit the content and request review again, or file an appeal against the decision. Appeals are reviewed directly by an administrator, and responses can be checked in My page in the app. A Member who repeatedly tries to post prohibited content may have their use restricted after an administrator's review.

5. The Company does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours; violating content is deleted and abusive authors are permanently suspended. Safety reports and developer contact: admin@daldagury.com.

6. Members can choose Report, Hide this post, or Block author from the post menu. Author blocking is permanent and cannot be undone. Existing and future posts from that author are hidden from the blocking Member without revealing author information.

Article 8 (Member Obligations)

Members must not do any of the following:

1. Read or write posts for places they have not actually visited by using location-spoofing apps or devices

2. Sign up or sign in with someone else's social account

3. Use the Service by automated means or access the servers abnormally

4. Write posts that fall under Article 7, Paragraph 2

5. Hide other Members' posts or interfere with normal use of the Service through false reports. If the Company reviews a report and determines that it is false, it may impose sanctions, such as usage restrictions, on the reporter.

Article 9 (Usage Restrictions)

If a Member violates Article 8, the Company may issue a warning, a suspension for a fixed period, or a permanent suspension. Usage restrictions are imposed after an administrator has reviewed the case, and the reason is notified through the app.

Article 10 (Changes to and Suspension of the Service)

The Company may change the content of the Service or temporarily suspend it for maintenance, outages, or similar reasons. Where advance notice is possible, the Company notifies Members through the app beforehand.

Article 11 (Account Deletion)

1. Members may delete their account at any time from My page > Account > Delete account in the app.

2. When deleting their account, Members choose what to do with the Notes they have left.

- Erase all: the text is gradually erased over one week until the Notes are completely deleted.

- Keep anonymously: the Notes remain on Dear Place without an author. After the account is deleted, even the Company cannot know who the author is, so it cannot verify requests to delete them.

3. Whichever option is chosen, the link to the author in Notes and review records, the Member's location use records, email address, social account identifiers, and login sessions are destroyed immediately. Only irreversibly transformed values of the email address and social account identifiers are retained, for the period set out in Article 4, to enforce the re-registration restriction.

4. Records that must be retained under laws or operating policies are retained only for the periods stated in the Privacy Policy.

Article 12 (Limitation of Liability)

1. The Company is not liable for failure to provide the Service due to events it cannot prevent, such as natural disasters or telecommunications failures.

2. The Company is not liable for the content of posts written by Members. However, this does not apply where the Company has received a report but failed to act on it.

Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)

Disputes concerning these Terms and the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and lawsuits shall be filed with the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on October 10, 2026.
